In a couple of weeks, I'm going to be teaching a new class I'm super excited about: Design Your Own Sock-Yarn Shawl!
The class is going to cover how to design your own shawl, from start to finish. We are going to talk about yarn choice, stitch patterns, how to figure out how much yarn you're going to need for your shawl and much more. I have loved all the shawl design classes I have taken over the years and they all really helped me prepare for writing a whole book of shawl patterns. I'm very excited to pass what I have learned over the years to knitters who are ready to start designing their own shawls!
Here is the full class description from the Fuzzy Wuzzy Yarns website, where I will be teaching the class:
Jen Lucas,
designer/author of one of the hottest new knitting books, Sock Yarn
Shawls, will be teaching a Design Your Own Sock Yarn Shawl Workshop on

different shawl constructions, how to get your chosen stitch pattern to
work within the framework of the shawl shape you wish to use, and how to
calculate how much yarn you will need for your design. Students must
