Ok, my spinning wheel has been getting quite the workout lately. I can't seem to stop. Spin, spin, spin. That's all I really want to do these days.
So, here is yet another skein of yarny goodness that I spun up recently:It's some Yarn Love Marianne Roving that I picked up at Sock Summit. It's the colorway Sock Star, which was their custom Sock Summit colorway from the Dye for Glory contest. This colorway was my absolute favorite (I also have a skein of their sock yarn in the same colorway) in that little Dye for Glory thingy. This is by far my favorite thing I have spun so far. It was so soft and easy to spin and I love the way the colors came out when I plied it.
I ended up with about 165 yards of a 2 ply yarn. Still kind of thick and thin, and I think it falls mostly at a heavy worsted.
Someday I will figure out how to be a really good spinner and I will know all the lingo and stuff. Right now, all I know is I like to make pretty yarn. That's it. :)
Happy spinning!
