When we played our charade
We were like children posing
Playing at games, acting out names
Guessing the parts we played
We were like children posing
Playing at games, acting out names
Guessing the parts we played
Oh what a hit we made
We came on next to closing
Best on the bill, lovers until
Love left the masquerade
We came on next to closing
Best on the bill, lovers until
Love left the masquerade
Fate seemed to pull the strings
I turned and you were gone
While from the darkened wings
The music box played on
I turned and you were gone
While from the darkened wings
The music box played on
Sad little serenade
Song of my heart's composing
I hear it still, I always will
Best on the bill
Charade
Song of my heart's composing
I hear it still, I always will
Best on the bill
Charade
I think all sock patterns should be named after Cary Grant movies. Just sayin'.
The Specs:
The Pattern: Charade by Sandra Park (Rav link there)
The Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Multi Mill End
The Needles: US Size 2 (2.75mm)
The Time to Knit: 3 weeks
The Modifications: I kept the herringbone pattern going down onto the heel flap. Other than that, I just knit the socks like I almost always do: cuff down, heel flap, gusset, etc, etc.
These socks will be perfect for Sock Summitting. Now, excuse me while I head to Target for a couple of items for my trip to Portland on Wednesday morning.
Happy knitting!
